Film our Gardens at the Crook
Next session – Tuesday 8th August, 6.30-8.30pm Harvest Celebration, date tbc Film Our Gardens is an Audio-Visual Pollinator project, where film and sound will act as pollinators between community gardens along the River Tweed. Between June and October 2023, Connecting Threads River Culture Animateurs and invited sound and visual artists will visit five community gardens along the river, collaborating with garden volunteers and visitors to creatively document the sights and sounds of each garden. The stars of the films will be the plants, trees and flowers, filmed by those who care and nurture them. We will be getting up close – taking a bee’s eye view of the botanical world. We will also be working alongside Buglife’s Pollinators Along the Tweed project, to monitor pollinator activity in each garden as part of the filming sessions. The resulting short films will be screened in each garden in the solar powered Moving Images Cinema Caravan at celebratory harvest events in October, audio-visually pollinating garden-to-garden to share inspiration. Come along if you can – it sounds fascinating! |
